🌍 Clear evidence of the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs 🦕
These stunning cliffs at Zumaia, Spain, reveal the exact moment 66 million years ago when the Cretaceous period ended.
The thin dark layer (marked by the arrows) is the K-Pg boundary — packed with iridium from the massive asteroid that slammed into Earth, triggering the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs and ~75% of all species.
One side: the world of T. rex and triceratops.
The other side: the Paleocene dawn that paved the way for mammals... and eventually us.
A breathtaking reminder of how one cosmic event reshaped life on Earth forever.

Pulp Fiction writer Roger Avary on Alex Kurtzman's Star Trek:
"This dweeb Alex Kurtzman comes along and just [expletive] all over everything. Just craps all over it.
I went in and met with the guy. I was like, 'Hey, I will write for scale. I'll write on your new show. I just want to be part of it.' And I basically found out he didn't want anybody who had any kind of fondness for the original show. He wanted to do something new and to create something new.
And boy has he [expletive] the bed like in a big way. ...
That [expletive] Alex Kurtzman, man. His company is called Secret Hideout, I think. He's going to need a secret hideout after destroying Star Trek for this latest generation.
Starfleet Academy is an abomination. I could not get through 3 episodes of Discovery. It just awful, awful storytelling. ... Just horrible. And they're more interested in the corproate propaganda with any kind of personal propaganda."
Is he correct?

China has stationed over 200 retired J-6 fighter jets converted into attack drones at air bases near the Taiwan Strait.
Experts say these drones would likely be used in large numbers during the opening phase of a conflict to overwhelm Taiwan’s air defenses, acting more like cruise missiles than traditional UAVs.
Taiwan warns this tactic could force it to use expensive missiles to intercept relatively cheap drones and is planning to upgrade its counter-drone systems.

And in season 3 they could have taken out the Xindi, and they could have had the Earth-Romulan war, which would have led to the creation of the Federation

Star Trek: Enterprise actor John Billingsley on why the show was cancelled after 4 seasons:
"There was so many reasons. Star Trek fatigue. There’d been a lot of overlap, Deep Space Nine had overlap with Next Gen and Voyager had overlapped with Deep Space and here we were, not quite overlapping, but right on the heels of Voyager. I think there was some fatigue, to a certain extent. While people came and watched that first episode [of Enterprise] as opposed to the current iterations of Star Trek, I don’t think at the time it was an audience that was just chomping at the bit for more. I think they were kind of almost looking for a reason to say, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna let this go for a while.’"
Do you think his assessment is accurate?

@fandompulse 1/2 It could have been a good series, if it wasn't so bad:
Without that "Temporal Cold War" crap
They shouldn't have made any reference to the Klingons, the Orion pirates were enough of the "bad guys"

BEDTIME STORES FOR GROWN-UPS WHO FEAR THE DARK”
Think of this as the “System Update” your brain has been begging for.
It’s for the moment you realize the “Manual for Life” everyone pushes on you is just fan-fiction written by guys who thought lightning was God’s angry text message.
🚫 I’m Unsubscribing from “Trust Me, Bro” Religion
Let’s talk straight.
I’m done pretending old books have all the secret codes to life.
While most people just copy-paste what their parents told them, I’m over here clicking “Report as Fake News.”
🚩 Big Red Flags I Can’t Ignore:
• The Creator of the whole universe — stars, trees, sea, skies — cares if I eat meat on Friday or wear mixed fabric? Come on, make it make sense!
• These “holy” stories are full of plot holes. One minute someone walks on water or splitting moon with finger, next minute the timeline is messed up. It’s like a bad movie that ends with “Just believe it, okay?”
• They scare you with Hell so you don’t leave? That’s not truth, that’s a terrible sales trick. If your product needs fear to sell, it’s probably broken.
• And don’t get me started on the divisions! Most religions agree God is one with thousands of religion with different do's and don't'$. One “all-powerful” God always in control, yet Christians alone have split into over 30,000 different denominations — all fighting over who got the rules right. Meanwhile, this superpowerful God just sits back and watches the family drama like it’s his favorite reality show. If He’s really in charge, why’s He letting the kids fight over the remote control for 2,000 years?
🧠 Why I’m the Glitch in the System:
Most people treat their beliefs like an old family chair — they never sit on it properly, never check if it’s wobbly, and get angry if you say it might fall apart.
Me? I’m the one shaking the chair and saying, “Hmm… this sounds fake.”
I’m not a rebel. I’m just doing quality control.
I’m not lost. I just threw away a broken map that still says “Dragons live here” in 2026.
I’m not trying to be cool. I’m just tired of pretending 1 + 1 = 5 because an old book said so.
🌌 Life is crazy beautiful — full of breathing, thinking, laughing, and eating good food.
My mind runs on real stuff like science and stars, not on “thou shalt not” rules from dusty pages.
If the real power behind the universe exists, it doesn’t need middlemen writing its biography.
So if my questions make you feel weird, don’t blame me.
That’s just your brain finally waking up from a very long, very old nap.
Real truth doesn’t need bodyguards.
If it can’t take a few jokes and honest questions, it’s not truth — it’s just a bedtime story for grown-ups who are scared of the dark. 💅
