“Years ago when I asked God for a house, he said don’t ask me a house, I’ve decided to build you a city. When I told my people, they laughed, well, they’re not laughing anymore now cos they have their houses in that city. A city where water never goes off and there’s light 24/7. A city where you can still walk about in the night safely with all the news going on” - Pastor Adeboye

The reason you should get married is for sêx and nothing else Your decision for marriage should primary be that I want to sleep with this person everyday and forever You should talk about sèx, the sêx style, the location, cosplay, drama, angles, patterns… Everybody likes sêx, if your partner says s/he doesn’t like sêx They most likely don’t like u

I might be the only one who doesn’t see anything worth celebrating about the birth and death of Jesus Christ. As someone who values logic and rational thinking, it’s a concept that has never fully made sense to me. I often find myself asking a question many people seem to avoid because it makes them uncomfortable: what exactly did the coming, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ truly achieve in practical terms? If the central claim is that his death changed the world, then where is that change? “It is finished,” we’re told. But what exactly was finished? We still live in a world filled with sickness, death, war, and suffering. In fact, one could argue that things have only become more complex, more chaotic, and, in many ways, worse. So what exactly did his death change? We are told it brought “salvation.” But salvation from what, exactly, and into what certainty? Even with this supposed gift, nothing appears guaranteed. You still have to struggle, obey, endure, and hope you have done enough to qualify. So is it truly a gift, or just another system of conditions wrapped in spiritual language? We are told he died for our sins, yet sin did not disappear. If anything, it feels more normalized than ever. So was the problem truly solved, or merely redefined? And here is the part that puzzles me the most: if Jesus came to give humanity power over death, where is that power? We are told he conquered death, yet death remains undefeated in every physical sense we can observe. Everyone still dies. Everyone still fears it. So what does “victory over death” actually mean beyond a comforting phrase? What changed in any tangible sense? If Jesus had never been born and never died, what is the absolute worst outcome we would be facing today that we are not already experiencing? Would the world be drastically different, or are we simply holding on to a belief because we were taught to, rather than because we can clearly see its results? And if the entire promise rests on eternal life, something no one has returned to confirm and no one can conclusively prove, something that is not even guaranteed, then aren’t we basing everything on a hope that demands belief without evidence? I am not asking these questions out of disrespect, but out of genuine curiosity. If something is claimed to be the greatest turning point in human history, then its impact should be undeniable, not something that constantly requires explanation and faith to sustain it.

Hallelujah! Christ is risen! But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. By the Resurrection power of Jesus, every circumstances holding us bound shall give way today.🙏 Happy Sunday and a Wishing you a wonderful Easter celebration ❤️

@InnocentNuwa @apologistlayman The idea here is that something that was forbidden of God suddenly became desirable because of the serpent’s sting, it was a sign that she had been poisoned not that the tree was genuinely good for food. How can something that can bring death be good for food?

If people would take the time to learn the difference between how Scripture uses a term and how you use it in your everyday experience, a lot of confusion would disappear. When Hebrews 4:15 says Jesus was tempted in every way we are, yet without sin. People read that and immediately map their own experience onto Him. Our temptations arise from a fallen nature, disordered passions, internal pulls, and a will already bent toward sin. So the assumption becomes that Jesus must have had the same inner experience as us in order to genuinely sympathise with ours or be “truly human.” He didn’t. Jesus has no fallen nature. There is no disordered appetite in Him, no internal constituency that sin could appeal to. The incarnation does not require that to be real. Impeccability isn’t a deficiency in His humanity. So what is Hebrews actually saying if it doesn’t mean temptation in the modern usage. It means Jesus faced the full external force of temptation of what it means to be a human, deprivation, suffering, betrayal, physical agony, the sustained pressure to abandon obedience to His Father and He bore all of it. That means He sympathises with your weakness, your hurt, your betrayal, your tiredness, your thirst and hunger. And He does so as your great High Priest. And before someone says He had to feel the pull toward lust, theft, or deception to truly be human, that is not what Hebrews is saying and it fundamentally misunderstands both the text and what humanity was designed to be. Disordered passions are not a feature of humanity, they are a consequence of the fall. Adam for example, before the fall was truly human without them just as Jesus, the last Adam, was truly human without them. The desire to steal, to lie, to lust. these are not marks of genuine humanity, they are the marks of fallen humanity. Ordered passions rightly directed toward God and neighbor are what humanity was made for. Jesus had those perfectly. Jesus could have appreciated the beauty of a woman (after all He made her) without that being sinful any more than appreciating a sunset is sinful. However could He have been tempted to “desire” a woman. No. His telos was never an earthly marriage. He came for His bride the church. If this helped you, please do share it.

Eve’s desire for food was an ordered passion, the tree was genuinely good for food and pleasing to the eye. What made it sin was the external temptation and lie from the serpent. She listened to the serpent over God’s command, and Adam failed to step in and stop it, as he was the one given the command.
