School starts soon & work Mar Lan has been doing at the Tri Delta Sorority House is rapidly concluding. The exterior looks beautiful with all the masonry details highlighting the brick façade. Inside everything everywhere is happening all at once with finishes in the rooms.
Mar Lan has been tasked with constructing new offices for Standard Beverage Receiving area and Kelly Hockey, job superintendent, says we are nearing completion. This was a complete tenant finish starting with new framed walls, all new mechanical & electrical systems, and finishes
McCray Lumber is making improvements at their West 6th Street location and Brandon Abel, job superintendent, is making good progress. The millwork building is finished, and racking and shelves are installed. Sheet goods are stored in the new 3-sided building.
Work at the Allegawaho Memorial Heritage Park in Council Grove, KS on the sacred red rock relocation project is moving along. Marty Criqui, job superintendent, is managing crews currently forming the first of 2 poured-in-place curved walls located in front of the Welcome Center.
Brandon Abel, job superintendent, is keeping pace at the new Heartland Blue Stem Wellness Building which houses admin offices, conference & therapy rooms. Shown are the exterior, front entry, conference room with a view of the grounds, and a bathroom. Work is moving along well.
Mar Lan Construction has been working on renovations to the KU Endowment Association offices. Shown is demo work in the 3rd Fl Boardroom and Human Resources. Kelly Hockey, project superintendent, is moving the project along and has already completed much of the total work.
Work is ongoing at Standard Beverage Corporation. We are renovating receiving offices which involves a complete scrape and rebuild of the space. Demo is complete, underslab plumbing is installed, new concrete placed and finished, and framing is starting. Lots more to come!
Progress happening on the building’s exterior façade shows a mix of brick & limestone archways & copings to accent prominent building features. Lap siding adds to a traditional look. Chance Barritt, project superintendent, carefully inspects all details to ensure quality.
Congratulations to the Mid America Bank group for the new facility to be built in Eudora, Kansas! Ground-breaking took place Monday, April 1. Construction is scheduled to start this month with completion anticipated before the end of 2024. Thanks Mid America Bank!
Despite windy conditions (tough to install roof panels) we're making good headway at the Hasty Awards project. Roof is nearing completion, insulation system is underway, & walls to the hardened shelter are complete & ready for concrete cap. Randy Frahm is superintendent.

After a long winter & thawing of the ground, work has commenced on the JH Salons project, operated by Jenny Harrison. Foundations & walls are poured, & the project is moving forward. Next we'll be setting steel, framing & getting dried in. Thanks to all involved in this project.
With warmer weather come windy days, a natural enemy when putting on metal wall or roof panels, & we have a lot of both on this project. Despite this, progress is taking place at the Hasty Awards project. Randy Frahm, jobsite superintendent, is busy managing many activities!
At the Tri-Delta Sorority House, the building enclosure and façade finishes are well underway. Site utilities are almost completed, soon site improvements will begin. Inside, rough-in of MEP is nearing completion and Chance Barritt, site superintendent, is scheduling inspections.
