Since then I’ve hated teachers with all my heart. And I don’t think I’ve written anything with more effort, even at age twenty-two, with more knowledge, then that book report. It’s still in my parents home today, probably rotting in some closet

We were asked in primary to write a book report about a book of our choosing. Any book fiction or nonfiction. Most kids chose a very simple book but I chose Aristoteles’s *Politics* which my dad gave to me because he wanted me to be engaged w/ the classics. My final report was 25 pages because I really loved the book. How did the teacher repay me? She said it was impossible for a 10-year old to have read Aristotle and more impossible to write such a report. I got a 0.
