10/May/2026 Christ Cornerstone Ministries The Canaanite woman came to Jesus carrying the pain of her daughter’s suffering. Her child was tormented, oppressed, and broken, yet this mother refused to remain silent. She crossed barriers, ignored rejection, and cried out with faith: “Lord, have mercy on me.” This was not just a prayer of desperation. It was a declaration of faith. A woman who understood that when the world has no answers, Jesus still does. She teaches us that women carry burdens many never see. They fight for their children, families, marriages, communities, and even for themselves while silently bleeding inside. Yet despite the silence, despite the delay, despite being overlooked, she persisted. Jesus eventually answered her because faith that refuses to give up moves the heart of God. On this Women’s Day, we honour women who continue to pray through pain, nurture through exhaustion, and stand through storms. Women whose faith keeps households standing. Women who carry generations in their prayers.

Children can be overweight or obese and still be malnourished due to diets high in calories but low in essential nutrients. The same inadequate dietary patterns can lead to obesity, poor growth, or wasting. For this reason, we prioritise referral to a nutritionist or dietician. This is not an assumption of neglect, but a clinical decision to ensure each child receives balanced, adequate, and developmentally appropriate nutrition.
