My Adobe subscription has a $270 cancellation fee to exit my contract I started in college in 2013. I’ve paid Adobe over $8000 and don’t own anything, and if I want to leave they’ll charge me a heinous fee that is hidden in the fine print, using dark pattern business.

Hey @playpokemon, you said you would listen to your community. Your Orlando ruling has confused players and left them fearful of the celebrations you say you want to support. 81% would be afraid to show emotion on stage. 455 players. How many will it take for you to listen?

But the Judges and Head Judge at the next major event, hopefully THEY will think LONG AND HARD about making any DQ decisions that will cause more backlash. It isn't about Orlando anymore. It's about preventing the "next" Orlando.

@RexProfessor @playpokemon as much as I agree with you, this is sadly futile at this point. They aren't going to change their mind, reverse the ruling, or even acknowledge this again. As far as they are concerned it's settled and not enough people will care enough to apply pressure. I suggest moving on.

@Anastazjarca9 As someone who is very deep into technology and AI, AI glasses is the least possible way someone is going to cheat. Hiding cards, shuffling, distracting, old school ways are more bad. Now, if i were going to cheat using tech, opp would never see it.

@coflorcana Please don’t let this discussion just end here and fizzle out. It does need fixing! Maybe try to get @zan_syed to talk about it on his podcast? Lorcana scene is dying everywhere but the top end. But that’s not sustainable a game.

Now that set champs season is over, I think it’s time for a discussion. We had an incident in our local community where casual players showed up to a set champs, and as soon as they saw the players with the jerseys walk in to compete, they all left. On a certain level I get it. Who wants to pay money to be fodder for players who practice more and take the game more seriously? And for the record, I’m not saying the jerseys did anything wrong here. But there is this imbalance in Lorcana organized play. On the one hand, RB markets this as a casual friendly game. So casual players pick up the game thinking that this is the one for them. They go to local leagues, planning on having fun. Then it’s week after week of being beat by the jerseys. Which eventually leads them to stop playing all together (who else has seen their local scenes drying up?), or if they’re lucky, to find a store that caters to casual players. Set champs then creates a dynamic where those casual players can’t escape the jerseys. It’s the one time that there is actually something worth playing for locally. I don’t know how your set champs went but attendance at ours is definitely less than they used to be. So we are in this cycle where casual players aren’t having fun and not coming out anymore, but the prize support isn’t compelling enough to attract jersey players from other games, which leads to shrinking local scenes. And I know that the game is doing just fine with collectors. The game is making money off of their wallets. It’s the health of the local organized play scene that I want to chat about. But honestly, I don’t know how to fix it (or maybe this is just me and it doesn’t need fixing at all)

@coflorcana Oh! Heres how you get Set Champs to sell out everytime! - every attendee gets a "Set Champs Pack". Inside it "promo" versions of cards from the set (small stamp, different art?) - in that pack, 1 MEGA chase card, very rare, beautiful art (see GG EZ Teemo)

@coflorcana so, then, what if Lorcana changed up their Worlds structure! - champion point based - gain CP based on placements in tournaments - literally copy Pokemon - season attendance - attend an event - gain attendance points (AP), end of year, give prizes to top attenders (/3)

@coflorcana But with Set Champs, if you go or don't go, it doesn't matter. Want to go to Worlds, gotta be THE BEST at only the biggest tournaments held so infrequently. What's the point of Set Champs in the bigger picture, NONE. (/2)

@coflorcana Make everyone happy! - Casuals - give them the possibility of good prizing just for attending - a raffle for promos and etc and a pack on entry - Jerseys - instead of Top 8 cards and Mat, make it Top 8 Cards, Top 4 Cards, Finalist, and Champion card! (Each with different art!)

The fact that the lowest age is 15 in any metric is disgusting. That’s not a pregnancy statistic, that’s the rape of a child. And maybe women are over this shit.
