Trying to expand my musical horizons so I got a used CD, Pearl Jam 'Ten'. When originally released I was only listening to hiphop/R&B/Rap/Punjabi music. Grunge wasn't my wheelhouse but I remember a few songs from radio. Listening for the first time. It's good! Recommend!

@MarcSciars What I find infuriating is that they harass us with waiving 11(b) to demonstrate concern about court time and resources, yet they take all the time in the world to make a decision they could have made way earlier and saved us all time and resources.

Crown calls me after hours Friday night before Monday hearing to tell me they're not going to proceed, classy move! 💪

@LauraMetcalfe23 Frankly, the accused’s brother called me and asked if I would accept a consult. Long story short, I felt that as a self-rep he could never have framed the breach convincingly because the issue was a little too nuanced.

@MarcSciars Who encouraged the accused to retain for reply subs? Crown? Judge? Observing student and/defence lawyer? So curious about this?

A self-rep came into my office for advice. 5 day trial upcoming with serious consequences if convicted. It was clear to me his rights were violated, he filed his own application, Crown responded, he retained me solely to make reply subs. Today, he left this note - Charges stayed
