(5/6) This is another tack to protect the Church from its worst acts. It's actually bad for the Church and horrific for the victims who were abused in other settings like families, sports, schools, and daycares.

(4/6) Even if the Church had a constitutional right to be shielded from accountability, the compelling interest in justice for the victims, identifying hidden predators, and educating the public about CSA overcomes such a right.
