Father, Husband, Teacher...Coach? Head of PE and AD at Hudson College.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS to Gary Baker on his induction into the Winthrop Athletics Hall of Fame. I had the honor of introducing him last night. Gary was a standout player from 1991-1994 and served as our assistant coach for 3 years after graduating. Some of Gary’s highlights: *4X All Big South Conference Selection *3X Region All Academic All American Selection *Member of the Big South All Decade Team for 1990-1999 *In four years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate school, Gary received all A’s and only one B. It was also great to catch up with his team mates Atilla Molnar and Scott Rawlins in the photo below. Along with Gary, this group were part of the building blocks that helped @WinthropSoccer grow from a successful NAIA to successful NCAA Div. I program. As a coach I will always be grateful to this group for all the later success Winthrop Soccer was able to achieve as we continued to grow and win Championships and make NCAA appearances. Great memories.
