Many of my #LongCovid friends are first wavers like me, infected long before vaccines and during the criminal "public health" advice to social distance six feet away and wash our groceries. One of them is now dead and I have a first wave friend who has several friends now dead. Other first wavers are severely disabled and I fear for them every day. This is horrific. /1

Once again, history is repeating itself. Patients being ordered to REMOVE higher-grade masks & replace them with ineffective surgical masks has been all too common since the start of the Covid pandemic. Independent IPC experts have confirmed there is “NO good reason” for this.

I also worry about the healthcare workers administering the vaccines, coming into close contact with hundreds of students who may potentially be carrying the meningococcus bacteria. Loose-fitting surgical masks do NOT provide adequate protection against aerosol transmission.

Got this patient info sheet from the after hours clinic where my son went for an ear issue (not Covid, thankfully) Apparently they are calling Covid a "common cold" now & normalizing kids being sick like 16 weeks of the year "without cause for concern" 😳
