Our paper out today in Cell Biology reports a new Neanderthal skeleton ("Thorin") from Mandrin (France) and the DNA from it shows that he represents a distinct population that stayed isolated for ~50,000 years in Europe from other Neanderthal groups. cell.com/cell-genomics/…
