You’re going to make it. You’re not going to just barely crawl into your next season. You’re going to rise and run into it with a smile on your face and a heart full of grace. Broken people really do have the best hearts. ❤️

Why did none of the celebrities at the Emmys have to wear masks indoors but all kids ages two and older have to wear them in preschool and school in Los Angeles?

I am often asked how to discern limits & priorities, how to balance one's being & doing. Here's a simple guide: -- What you do matters; who you are matters more. -- You cannot give what you do not possess. -- The state you are in is the state you give to others.

God sees us as we are, loves us as we are, and accepts us as we are. But by His grace, He does not leave us as we are.

Those who are most easily angered are often those who refuse healing where they’re most deeply wounded. If we can remember this, we can stop attending every drama to which we are invited. We can be hurt but we don’t have to live hurt.

Everything broken doesn't have to be completely fixed for us to be completely fine. We can be scared & brave & frail & unbelievably strong all in the same leap of faith. We can be hurt but we don't have to live hurt. Broken is what people are. Beautiful is what God makes them.

One thing I miss in our national discourse is deeper thinking. Dr. King’s vision of justice was biblical and theological. Today the arguments are reduced to ideological and political. “Let justice roll on like a River, righteousness like a never failing stream.” Amos 5:24
