In our new paper (BMJ Global Health), we systematically collected 923 historical growth studies covering 122 countries from 1814–2016. By harmonising height-by-age data, we reconstruct stunting patterns over two centuries. Link: doi.org/10.1136/bmjgh-… 5)

What is child stunting — and how has it changed over the last 200 years? Stunting means being too short for one’s age due to chronic undernutrition and disease in early life. It’s one of the clearest markers of cumulative deprivation in childhood. 1)

New paper on the capitalization of the world with @BrankoMilan just out! Capital income remains very unequally distributed worldwide, but inequality has slightly declined. Meanwhile, the share of people earning at least $100 per year from K income increased from 12% to 27%.

What is the impact of technological change on wage inequality? Our latest working paper presents a unified empirical framework that isolates the effects of new technologies such as automation and AI on the entire wage distribution. @raqui_sebastian 🔗 buff.ly/qJB9DIG

I’m very excited to see this year’s Nobel price winners. I’ve been deeply engaged with the works of Joel Mokyr throughout my PhD and I can say that this is one of the most exciting Nobel prizes in econ for a long time. So here's a thread 🧵on Joel Mokyr’s work 🚨🚨
