@winterduck04 Because it's a country almost without History: its History was that of the native americans, which were suppressed in a horrible genocide, deleted & then deported in reservation that looks like big dogs' cages. Shame on you.

@grok @MariaVergineD @MrCasey62 To me, that speaks volumes. If those books were truly inspired & part of God's Word wouldn't He have drawn from them, especially since they were floating around in the Septuagint copies? He affirmed the Jewish canon of His day, which didn't include them as authoritative Scripture

MARY is the Ark. From the Bible & the Early Church: Old Ark carried: •God’s WORD (10 C’s) •Aaron’s rod (symbol of HIGH PRIEST) •manna (miraculous BREAD OF LIFE) Mary carried: •the WORD, Jesus •our HIGH PRIEST, Jesus •the BREAD OF LIFE, Jesus Jesus didn’t carry Himself.🧵

BREAKING - President Trump: Department of war sounded better. I don't want to be defense only. We want defense but we want offense, too. As department of war, we won everything. We won everything. I think we'll have to go back to that.

@ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 ... condemn Saul. The prophet came not because the woman summoned him, but because God, disgusted by this yet another sin of Saul, provided condemnation upon him, who was the chosen king of the people of God. This same fact, Indeed, is yet another condemnation of magic.

@ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 God in Exodus kill the firstborn children of Egyptians, even if it's written "thou shalt not kill". Do you want to judge God? Moreover, God didn't send Saul to that woman: Saul did with his own free will, & God replied to this offense by actually sending his prophet to...

@ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 I never said you made those accusations against Genesis etc., I was saying that, exactly like you, other people refuse the Bible as Word of God by saying "there are many Historical mistakes, & cruelty" etc. The Truth is they do not understand the Word of God. Don't be like them.

@MariaVergineD @MrCasey62 BTW I never said any of those things. You completely made those up. Exodus 20:16 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." @ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 St Augustine (IV century) explain how the woman doing divination was doing that for Saul's order (not for God's order) & since Saul was the king of the people God had chosen, He sent his prophets to reproach Saul & to tell he was about to fall. Again, don't forget the line...

@ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 The apparition of the prophet Samuel to king Saul? God use even evil people sometimes. Anyway, go back to the line: you are between the atheists asking "is it God cruel? All those children killed in the Bible!" & those that "Creation in Genesis is wrong. Cannot be God's Word".

#FreeIran2025 : Australia expels Iranian ambassador over antisemitic attacks- IRGC to be blacklisted Australia has severed diplomatic ties with #Iran, expelling Ambassador Ahmad Sadeghi and three envoys, who have seven days to leave. The IRGC will be designated a terrorist organization. Embassy operations in Tehran are suspended. Foreign Minister Penny Wong said it was the first time since the Second World War that Australia had expelled an ambassador, stressing that Iran had “crossed a line”. Ambassador Ahmad Sadeghi and three other officials have been ordered to leave, while Australia has withdrawn its own diplomats from Tehran. #شصت_سال_مقاومت #مرگ_بر_ستمگر_چه_شاه_باشه_چه_رهبر #IranThirdOption #BlacklistIRGC

@grok @ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 This is important, Shawn. The reason you accept Hebrews, James, 2 & 3 John, Jude & the book of revelation as Word of God it's because the Catholic Church fixed them in the NT Canon in the same councils they fixed the deuterocanonical books. Either you accept or refuse all of them

Yes, before the NT canon was fixed (e.g., at councils like Hippo 393 AD and Carthage 397 AD), books like Revelation, Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 2-3 John, and Jude faced disputes and weren't universally accepted, with variations across regions and early Church Fathers. The canon including deuterocanonical books became standard in the Western Church after those councils and remained dominant until the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, when reformers rejected them.

@grok @ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 @grok before the Canon of the Bible was fixed with either NT books & deuterocanonical in OT, there were other books who later entered the Canon of the NT (e.g. the book of revelation) who weren't universally accepted? Once fixed, the Bible Canon was dominant until XVI century?

Yes, Hebrews 11:35 ("Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, that they might rise again to a better life") is commonly seen as an allusion to 2 Maccabees 7, where a mother and her seven sons endure torture, refusing release in hope of resurrection. This reflects early Christian familiarity with deuterocanonical texts. The Councils of Hippo (393 AD) and Carthage (397 AD) did affirm both the NT canon and the deuterocanonical books together. Early acceptance varied but dates back to the 1st century in some writings.

@grok @ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 @grok there is even the reference to Maccabees 7 in hebrews 11:35? @ShawnOnMission as you saw, THE SAME PLACE & MOMENT in which the NT Canon was fixed (Carthage & hyppo councils) the deuterocanonical books were fixed too & in early Christianity broad acceptance dates to I century

Yes, there are allusions in Matthew (e.g., 27:43 to Wisdom 2:18-20) and Paul's letters (e.g., Romans 1:20-32 to Wisdom 13-14), treated authoritatively but not as direct quotes. Clement of Rome (c. 96 AD) quoted Wisdom (e.g., 12:12) and Judith as scripture. Polycarp (c. 110-140 AD) quoted Tobit (4:10, 12:9) and Sirach authoritatively in moral teachings. Early usage varied by region.

@grok @ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 @grok There are mentions & quotes in the gospel of Matthew & in letters of st Paul to the deuterocanonical books in authoritative ways? Early Christian authors since the I century, like Clement (91 AD) & then Polycarp etc. Quoted the deuterocanonical books in authoritative way?

Many early Christians, especially Greek-speaking ones, used the Septuagint which included deuterocanonical books, often quoting them as scripture, though acceptance wasn't universal (e.g., some Fathers like Origen questioned them). Jerome initially doubted them, favoring the Hebrew canon, but later included them in his Vulgate translation, deferring to Church authority. Deuterocanonicals were affirmed in the same late-4th-century councils (Hippo 393, Carthage 397) that fixed the NT canon.

@grok @ShawnOnMission @MrCasey62 @ShawnOnMission @grok most believers in Early Christianity used the deuterocanonical books as Word of God? Jerome, who initially doubted them, accepted them later? since my friend here surely ignored your reply: when the NT Canon was fixed the deuterocanonical were present?

Early Christians did not universally accept the Apocrypha (deuterocanonical books) as canonical. Many used the Septuagint, which included them, and councils like Carthage (397 AD) affirmed them. However, figures like Jerome and Origen disputed or limited their status, with variations across regions and traditions.

This is a sign of ignorance: they don't know that private revelations like these can be believed or not & most, in this case, do not (for many reasons). To minimize all devotion toward the mother of God (Luke 1:43) present since early Christianity, is ignorant & demonic.

@ShawnOnMission @grok @MrCasey62 Weird, because early Christianity knew it was God's Word, & accepted them into the Canon. Already most jews, especially from the diaspora, accepted them as well; but as christian you must know that the same christians who accepted the 4 Gospels accepted deuterocanonical too.

@MariaVergineD @grok @MrCasey62 I don’t reject the Apocryphal. They are good to read. They just aren’t God Breadth which is why you get errors and contradictions in them. The Jews saw that which is why they rejected them from the Hebrew Canon.

@IndianaBrunner Baptism is founded upon the blood of Christ: He save those children. Didn't you read how entire houses, children as well, were baptized? (Acts of the apostles 16:15). Didn't you read how John the baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit while he was still in the womb? (Luke 1:15).

I’ll never understand the mindset of Catholics believing they have the power to save their children, as if salvation is in their hands and they can freely give it to their children. Truly the most retarded thing they believe. “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8) Sorry, bud, but you don’t control the activity of the Spirit. “So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.” (Romans 9:16)
