As the saying goes, “Bread is the staff of life.” And who, if not true bakers, would understand this best? Alexander Kurella, the owner of the bakery BioBrot, also known as “Хльбъ,” moved from Germany to Russia more than 30 years ago. Here he met his future wife, graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, went on to supply sausage products to major retail chains, and eventually devoted himself to the craft of baking. We had the good fortune to meet with him to discuss the possibility of attracting other resettlers, as well as organizing master classes where anyone interested will be able to learn how to bake delicious buns and a variety of breads. By the way, the BioBrot bakery is located on the grounds of the Belaya Dacha Estate, making it possible to combine business with pleasure: enjoy fresh pastries and visit the local museum.

Recently, together with bloggers from different countries, we met with Mikhail Vedernikov, Governor of the Pskov region. We talked about how the region helps resettlers relocate and adapt, supports Russian speakers, and develops culture and tourism. The guests were impressed!
