🆘off the coast of Libya! 80 lives are in immediate danger near the Libyan coast as our hotline was alerted by the panicked people on board a rubber boat. According to them, the boat is taking in water everywhere & is about to sink. They say people are drowning! Where is rescue??

The #LouiseMichel rescued 31 people from a drifting wooden boat in worsening weather. Another 65-70 people have been holding out all night on the #Shell oil platform #Miskar onto which they climbed. Maltese authorities were informed and asked to coordinate repeatedly!

The remaining 65-70 people have been on the #Shell platform #Miska for over 14 hrs and are in desperate need of a safe place. The platform lies within a European SAR zone but refuses to communicate with the responsible Maltese authorities. @shell @Shell_EUAffairs @Shell_Germany

Besides supporting rescues of #SeaWatch3, our aircraft crew had to witness once more illegal and violent pullbacks to #Libya. One boat was rammed at full speed by a so-called Libyan Coast Guard patrol boat, risking the lives of ~80 people trying to seek safety. #LibyaIsNotSafe

🔴 Nach zwei weiteren Rettungen: 412 Menschen an Bord der #SeaWatch3. Unsere #Seabird-Crew informierte unser Rettungsschiff über ein überladenes Schlauchboot in Seenot. Obwohl das Boot zu sinken drohte, konnten in einer schwierigen Rettung alle in Sicherheit gebracht werden.
