“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is to stop telling people everything that is wrong with you. It’s a big mistake to think that after explaining what you’re going through, people will offer relief. Later, you may discover that such outpouring achieves little because nobody truly understands the full weight of your problem since they are not there with you. Sometimes, after explaining everything to them, they even start distancing themselves from you.”

“RNAQ bribed tellers to withdraw cash in my name to frame me.
He reduced my stake from 40% to 15%, while increasing his own from the agreed 60% to 75%” 😳

LAKE’S MISTAKE AND WHAT HE LEARNED FROM IT
When John G. Lake grew older, he was able to balance spiritual life and everyday life very well. But he learned this the hard way, and the cost was his family.
Lake was often away because of his ministry. Even when he was at home, his mind was usually focused on spiritual matters. Because of this, his children felt ignored and unloved.
These same children had already gone through a lot. They watched their mother suffer greatly and eventually die in Africa. This painful experience made them emotionally strong but also bitter. Many of them left home very early, around ages 15 or 16, and moved to Canada. As they grew older, they carried deep hurt and bitterness in their hearts. However, two of his sons said on their deathbeds, “I wish dad were here to pray for me.”
Lake later felt deep regret for not giving his children enough time and attention. He even wrote in a letter that all the miracles he performed were not worth losing his family.
But he did not remain the same. He learned from his mistakes and changed. He became a better husband, a more present father, and still remained strong in his ministry.
His children from his second marriage saw a different side of him. They knew him as a joyful man who loved people, laughed often, and enjoyed life.
As he grew older, Lake learned how to balance both spiritual and everyday life. He became more approachable and friendly. People no longer felt uncomfortable around him, he related with them warmly.
His home also changed. It became a place of joy instead of tension. He loved spending time with his family, especially during meals, where laughter filled the house. He enjoyed music, especially classical and opera, and listened to them every Sunday evening.
Lake also had a good sense of humor. He enjoyed reading humorous writings by Will Rogers and even became known as someone who could make others laugh. He liked to keep the atmosphere around him light and happy.
