Disabled Londoners sounded the alarm before Grenfell, but were ignored. We can't make that mistake again. I'm glad the London Assembly listened to concerns from @InclusionLondon and backed our motion for the Mayor to work with government to strengthen regulations for PEEPS.

Thank you @HinaBokhariLD & @Gareth_Roberts_ for speaking up for Disabled Londoners & highlighting the urgent need for PEEPs. The new legislation does not go far enough. Every Disabled person should be able to escape safely in the event of a fire. We don't want another Grenfell!

Great news 🙌 The Government's current fire safety plans are letting Disabled people down. We need real, robust regulations to keep us safe in the event of a fire.

Thank you @tomcopley for meeting with us at @InclusionLondon today to discuss the barriers Disabled Londoners face in accessing genuinely affordable, accessible homes. It was great to discuss and agree on how the SAHP can go further in delivering accessible social rent homes.

New proposals could reduce the number of affordable homes in London, and make them less accessible and safe. We've responded to the consultation about the impact this will have on Deaf and Disabled Londoners - read our response and handy explainer: buff.ly/WqmfaYS (1/2)

London has become wildly expensive. People in the city are struggling to pay for our most basic need, our homes. Our Chief Executive @BenTwomeyUK spoke to the @LondonAssembly about rent controls in the city. Watch for more👇

.@CentreForLondon are right: There’s no clear picture of accessible housing across London. We need @MayorOfLondon & councils to improve data standards across London, so we can identify the demand and supply of accessible housing. Thank you to @EllyBakerAM for raising this issue.

The Government say they want more Disabled people in work, while at the same time taking away the support we need to get and keep our jobs. If you think that's wrong, join us and email your MP to say #SaveAccessToWork. buff.ly/WqJF54k

A safe home is a basic need, especially for survivors of abuse and rough sleepers. Thanks to @AndrewBoff, who asked about accessible homes in the Housing Moves Scheme. We’re glad @TomCopley + GLA are committed to improving accessibility data so no one can fall through the cracks.

Most councils don't know how accessible their social housing is. So it's difficult to calculate future need and match people with the right properties. We're pleased that @TomCopley will consider reinstating and improving the Register. Thank you @AndrewBoff for raising this!
