@Merrydawg Spoilers, basically. I'd even be ok paying a small amount to watch this episode directly on Youtube. Also I recently noticed that it's gonna show episode 8 again just to fill in the screentime. So the first 40 minutes will be ads and an episode you've seen for free already.

Why are people upset at this, again? They released every single episode for free on YouTube. They could have signed an exclusivity deal with a streaming platform, and forced you to pay $14.99 a month to watch, but they never did. You guys can't let them at least have ONE monetized early release for their finale? It has to release FOR FREE immediately? If you love animation, you should WANT them to do this, so they and future creatives like them, can be rewarded for their hard work.

TADC fandom treats the company like shit so much I don't feel bad at all that they need to call a theatre

-be Glitch -spend years of your life producing an animated series -release it for free on YouTube, don’t sell out to studios, and keep the show completely self-funded through merch sales and donations -show gets stupidly successful -series finale is coming up -“hmm… maybe I can finally monetize my life’s work for once” -plan a special theatre screening, have it release throughout the Western Hemisphere and Japan -fans get mad at you for it, demand it release in every single territory on Earth, and expect you to release all episodes for free on YouTube forever I swear adult animation fans act like absolute children sometimes. Either shell out the cash to watch your favorite show’s series finale or wait two weeks like a good little boy. But don’t expect artists to work for free in perpetuity.

@frost666999 I mean of course there are some similarities, but it's still a vastly different game. Hell, the playtest game can't even be played offline. It's centered around working and interacting with dozens of actual ppl.

This just hit me! So after finally watching my GF play Pokopia, I just noticed,that Nintendo Playtest we all tried was Pokopia (Mind Blown)

@ExaltedLT @lockendkey @kijuler He meant to say light world characters like Kris, Susie, or Noelle don't get merch, outside of pins, t shirts, and posters. Ralsei is a darkner. A character who isn't "real", which is why Toby is ok with some of those characters getting plushies.

@RobinPoedev You can't please everyone. Either you add in DLC and ppl complain it's not a "complete" game, or you release no DLC, and ppl beg for extra content. Personally, I think DLC can work really well. It gives players who might have moved on a reason to come back to the game.

more games need to learn to cut their losses and move on to the next thing honestly. for as much as i hate Totk, its a better strategy for exploring new ideas. using the same assets in a new project rather then grafting on a DLC to a piece of art that already exists
