According to an interview in Famitsu magazine with Shigeru Miyamoto, when discussing the Super Mario Galaxy movie, he briefly mention that a Super Smash Bros. anime in the works at Toei Animation.
Now imagine the possibilities: cinematic fights, character backstories, unexpected alliances… 👀
