@plazynoodles From the start, it did not look like a forced haircut on a child. The smile at the end was a dead giveaway to me. Because it’s not easy to smile about it when it’s forced. So I’m not surprised to hear he was willingly getting a haircut to donate the hair.

@plazynoodles It can be traumatic when you’re a child and your hair is cut against your will. It’s not always just kids crying because they’re emotional beings. And I do think they should have more of a say than parents for their hair.
But this video was always clearly not an example of that.

Until I was 14, my mom would secretly read the books I was reading so she could report me to court and law enforcement for reading books with violence. My dad and I started a Watchmen book club with each other when I was 11. Two very different parental experiences lol

Did your parents monitor/police your reading? And if so, at what age did it stop? I certainly didn’t get any input from when I started choosing/buying my own books, maybe age 10 or 11, and I can’t remember ever being told “not that” when I wanted a book from a shop or library.

Tired of hearing about that game. Franchise sucks, creator sucks, if you want to revisit a childhood thing for comfort then there’s a million games on GOG/Steam, etc. Streaming it would personally hurt some of my very good friends, so fuck that. I got hidden object games.
