@DaleJohnsonBBC Why can’t VAR correct the referee’s subjective judgement on something he has seen, if it is a clear wrong judgement? What happens to Taylor who clearly doesn’t know that an attempt to headbutt is a read card?

Much will depend on what Anthony Taylor told the VAR he saw. If the referee described it as we saw and chose a yellow, there's not much the VAR can do. But that's a red for me. Another case where the outcome is probably different had the opponent "played up" to it. #MCIARS

Seeing as the Liverpool fans have selective blindness…You will clearly see Bradley get upright, put his studs in the ground, then push himself onto the field more. You’ll then see Martinelli block him with his shin. Does this mean Bradley did it on purpose? No!

@philmcnulty The ball drop was accidental. He immediately apologised. But how is Martinelli meant to know the severity? He looks down and sees Bradley shift back onto the pitch to stop the game continuing. Martinelli reacts badly (he is a thick prick imo, always down feigning injury(.

Disgraceful from Gabriel Martinelli. Conor Bradley looked like he had picked up a very nasty injury there and he's trying to push him off the pitch. All after dropping the ball on him.

Kan trenere, spesielt trenere i Premier League slutte å klage over kampprogrammet.

@DaleJohnsonBBC He is actually in contact with the goalkeeper after the shot has gone off, completely different situation. The linesman is the key person here, not the referee. He is the one that is making the decision 50 yards away. If VAR doesn’t recommend review, kavanagh is out of the proses

@paddywaddington They voted 3-2 that a goal was the better outcome but it wasn't clearly wrong for VAR to get involved.

Wolves have just had a goal disallowed very, very similar to Liverpool's against Manchester City. Player ducking under the ball close to the goalkeeper as it went into the net.

@uunwanaobong3 @footy_road Liverpool has a win rate close to city in that time period, it’s only with Oliver they have an abnormal low win rate. Loosing by one point two of those years city won doesn’t make a big difference in the win rate.

@footy_road Be sincerely with yourself. Is it Micheal Oliver fault that Arsenal, Liverpool & Man utd can't score goals & win their matches since 2020/21 season? Since 2020/21 season MANCITY has won EPL trophies 4 out of 5 times, it is only natural they will more win rate 74.1% than others

@Dannynn__ @RobThomas70 @markgoldbridge Giving a wrong corner isn’t a shocking decision, or a game changing decision. The Trent handball came before he went to the UAE to referee. Don’t remember the Arsenal goals, but was that the same game Kovacic should’ve had a red?

@MariusLieungh @RobThomas70 @markgoldbridge Is he? Just the other week he gave Villa a corner that never was and they scored from it. Surely he'd have done something to equalise that? Akanji v Liverpool, Trent Handball, Rashford offside. Failing to rule out both arsenal goals in the 2-2 last season... It goes both ways

@DaleJohnsonBBC As with the Doku penalty at Anfield, they are twisting the words to suit the decision. Linesman says Rob is in line of vision, that is a clearly an obvious wrong. Doku penalty at Anfield, Oliver said the ball was in between Doku and macca, also clearly wrong.

Premier League referees' chief Howard Webb has backed his officials, saying it was "not unreasonable" for Virgil van Dyk's goal to be disallowed for offside against Manchester City. Webb also supported the VAR decision not to change the on-field call. bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

@DaleJohnsonESPN @chrisdykeno7 Well if the red card situation influences the offside situation as Chris means, they have to get some input from somewhere. But I genuine wonder if they see the same live pictures as we do? Then they would probably understand why Tarkowsky was in the monitor all through the game
