@robertmdaws Steve Ovett. His phenomenal breakthrough in the 1977 World Cup remains one of the greatest 1500m runs I’ve ever seen. That night, he beat the world’s best runners with ease including the Olympic champion John Walker. He was brash, confident and a joy to watch at his best.

@MarkARadcliffe It's absolutely awful, been waiting 8 weeks for an urgent referral, after being sent to wrong doctor in wrong department. Spent all day on phone chasing people, and being bounced back and forth. I'm terminal so time is actually quite important.

Got sent to urgent care this morning. Don't worry I'm sure it will be fine. Been waiting 3.5 hours. That's ok, I get it. But watching the processes, the patients, the clinicians, listening to the language, the protocols... the NHS is buggered. Which is a shame. #NHSurgentcare

I also pointed out that at this particular party we were surrounded by historians and classicists and psychologists and mathematicians but this just further angered poor Paul, who took exception at ‘philosopher’, and presumably, a woman in particular claiming to be one.
