Almost every activist in the Labour Party will have been on a door knocking round with the legend that was Jayne Hill. Such a valued member of my team and Rachel Reeves team before that. She was at every council, general and by-election in recent history.

@tony4rochdale So sorry to hear this Tony, I haven't been on here for some time due to hospital/Prostate Cancer treatment and now coming out the other side. A real pleasure to get to know you during our time as PCC's and sending my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to you and the family.

I have been receiving treatment for some time for a form of blood cancer which has been controlled by chemotherapy. Unfortunately this has now transformed into an aggressive and untreatable form of leukaemia and I will be leaving hospital today. Read my statement in full👇

6 years ago on this day we opened our building doors for the first time to the community and young people. This was a second hand building due for demolition. Through a collaborative effort involving hundreds of volunteers gifting thousands of hours we created something magical.
