Wisconsin State Senate has just voted 21-12 to approve giveaway bill giving state tribes monopoly to operate online sports betting. GOP Senate Leader LeMahieu cuts deal with Democrats to pass bill that many Republicans oppose. The Madison Swamp wins and free market loses again. Will vers sign or veto? My guess is he rolls over to tribes just like Doyle did. Online sports betting should be legal but with competition and no tribal monopoly

The one thing Wis Republicans are united on is backing Tom Tiffany for Governor. He has support of grassroots conservatives AND most of GOP establishment. Liz and Dick Uihlein and Diane Hendricks (not always on same page) are with Tiffany. I see almost no groundswell for Tommy Thompson.

It’s puzzling at this point how any success is buried. The reality is likely the regime is being pummeled on all sides and has no ability to provide for its people. Maybe it can put on a good show for another week or two but its leadership is under immense pressure. But that’s not what the American public is getting from mainstream media.

Tommy Thompson is indeed seeking support for a run for Governor. But he did the same thing in 2022 before backing Tim Michels. Tommy is 84. What's driving this is polling saying a non-Trump type GOP candidate could win. The LAST thing the GOP needs is a bitter primary

The Senate must enact the will of the people

Jimmy Carter helped cause the Iran crisis by his weakness. Every US President since (except Obama who loves Iran's monsters) has vowed to do something about it. Only one President actually has done something. We're watching it.

There are some who seem to oppose the Iran attacks solely because they benefit Israel. Well they do, but so what? The question is does de-fanging Iran benefit the United States? Uh, YES!

The only war for the US to "win" (by classical definition) in Iran is regime change and that comes either with a ground invasion/land war or an internal overthrow by the Iranian people themselves. It will have to be the latter. There is no American appetite for a bloody ground war. WH press secretary Karoline Leavitt yesterday seemed to imply as much: “Moving forward, the stated objectives for Operation Epic Fury remain the same: destroy the terrorist regime’s ballistic missiles, raze their Iranian missile industry to the ground, ensure their terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region, and ensure that Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon.” KL said nothing about regime change in that quote. Good. My opinion: we are wiping out the offensive capabilities of the most dangerous nation in the world and even the Muslim nations of the Middle East are happy about it. But it is up to the Iranian people to overthrow their own government and be responsible for their destiny. The military there needs to do what the people of their nation want: get rid of the ruling mullahs.

In Wisconsin all you need to register to vote is a state ID and a document affirming residence (like a simple utility bill). None of those require citizenship proof. To think some non-citizens aren't voting is also to think some illegals aren't getting SNAP benefits

The Democrats are blocking passage of the Save Act (requiring proof of citizenship to vote) despite overwhelming public support because they want and need illegal immigrants (and other non-citizens) to vote. This is THE threat to democracy.

In almost every one of my many contract negotiations, this was a months-long matter of contention. I was always adamant non-compete could not be enforced if I was terminated. I eventually got my way. I think Lindsay should put a bag over her head. It worked for John Malan

Tammy Baldwin is a case in point. She might not be a Senator if only citizens voted. She beat Eric Hovde by only 29,000 votes out of of 3.35 million cast. Baldwin knows at least some of those 29K weren't legally eligible to vote for her. This is why Dems can't have SAVE Act

Elon Musk and others have pointed out that it will be almost impossible for GOP to win in 2028 (and beyond) if the 20 million illegals here start to vote. The threat of legal immigrants that are non-citizens may be just as great. American citizens should pick American leaders

Breaking: Lawsuit filed today by three former HS students alleging sexual abuse and grooming was pervasive at Oconto Falls HS and staff and school board did nothing about it. They make the school look like a HS version of Epstein Island

One of the teachers named in the lawsuit accused of grooming and inappropriate behavior was on the staff as recently as two years ago and was bragged up in a school Facebook post. Yet the district today released a statement saying it responded immediately to allegations. AWOL school board

In addition to the three named plaintiffs, 14 other former Oconto Falls students allege they were victimized by teachers. 14! Unlike the Epstein case, this one has multiple victims specifically naming their abusers

The students who allege they were abused are naming themselves publicly. A major midwest personal injury law firm is handling the case. If the allegation that the school board knew about the abuse is true, it speaks to a level of depravity in that town

It would be wonderful if the people rightly concerned about the years-ago abuse at Epstein Island were at least equally outraged by the abuse going on right now in their own public schools. The teacher sex abuse stories around the US are a scandal
