@USKeeper I would drop Berhalter and add Scally. I just don’t think we need 6 roster spots at CM/CDM. I’d also find a place for Musah (replace Morris), but pretty sure Poch won’t, sadly. My personal opinion tho. I think what you have here is very likely what Poch will do.

@NobletStrength Please explain to me why NFL QBs aren’t our best athletes then. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, etc. Because being a freak athlete isn’t what makes playing that position successful. Of course it helps, but it only gets you so far. Same for soccer.

@usmntonly He’s just wrong. Our best athletes aren’t concentrated in a single sport, because it’s IMPOSSIBLE to quantify that. The real problem is that other countries have provided better quality coaching and facilities to their boys for longer than the U.S. has. It’s very simple.

The Yunus Musah situation is getting harder to defend. Even granting that he hasn't taken a clear step forward since the last World Cup where he was one of the better players on the team. And even accounting for limited minutes this season, he's still someone you'd back to start a WC game over Morris, Berhalter, Roldan, and arguably Tessmann. Dropping him entirely feels like the wrong call.

While Christian Pulisic has captained the #USMNT more than anyone over the last two cycles, he still wouldn’t be my first or second choice to wear the armband.
For the 2026 #WorldCup, my choice for USMNT captain would be Tyler Adams or Chris Richards.

I’m not convinced he has regressed to the point that he’s worse than he was when he was starting games for us (against England, for example) at the last WC. And he played well. I feel like he’s a “last roster spot” guy that could contribute.
