@PFM192381 I think, when you look at the small print of the legislation, the idea behind this is to get people to burn kiln-dried wood which has much fewer pollutants and irritants when burned. I could be wrong on this but I'll give it more consideration after I've chucked a log on my fire.

@GM0905 I agree with your views on sentences. Where more than one person is murdered, the sentences should be consecutive for each victim. Corporal punishment is likely to create other longer-term issues placing additional demand on health services, psychiatric services and others

When I raised the question on the death penalty in Parliament yesterday, it was met with pure horror from hundreds of MPs. So, Restore Britain commissioned national polling to find out what the British people actually think… 60% of the British people would vote in favour of restoring the death penalty, 40% against. The entire UK would vote in favour, other than London. It is overwhelmingly popular. 41% of people believe we should have the referendum, 34% disagree. This is a debate the British people want to have, even if almost nobody in Parliament does. We look at these monstrous child rapist and killers sitting in prison, costing us tens of thousands every year - for what? To assault and injure prison staff? No. When the guilt is undeniable, and the crime so appalling - we should put them to death. I have no moral questions about that, whatsoever. Axel Rudakubana Lee Rigby's killers - Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale Manchester Arena terrorist - Hashem Abedi And many others... Why keep these monsters alive? We must restore the death penalty. The British people agree with me, even if almost nobody in Parliament does.

@PC_Angry Not sure about the financial point of view as the US currently costs over $1m per year per prisoner on death row. Most prisoners spend an average of 25 years on death row. As for the reoffending - a whole life order does the same thing and would still be cheaper.

This BMW caught speeding over 100mph M6 J13-J12. When stopped we found both rear tyres were below the legal limit and the front windows heavily tinted. Driver replied to us about the tyres ‘it doesn’t matter about the 2 tyres it’s a 4x4’. Driver reported & PG9 issued. #team2
