Once you experience something like sexual assault your view of the world changes. Thank you to @LWLies and @thethirdhan for allowing me to use my own experiences to explore the representation of male sexual assault on screen. lwlies.com/articles/male-…

As a lad from Scotland it was an honour getting a few minutes to sit down and chat with James McAvoy and the cast of California Schemin'. Was lovely talking about the film and the current state of Scottish cinema. Via @filmhoundsmag filmhounds.co.uk/2026/03/17/jam…

Failed Experiments: The Forgotten Sci-Fi Films of the 1990s Wrote a wee article about the overlooked Sci-Fi films of the 90s, how they did everything right and somehow still managed to fail. Give it a wee read! Via @filmhoundsmag filmhounds.co.uk/2026/03/06/fai…

City Slickers may seem like your typical out-of-place, 90s comedy but it is so much more than that. Hilarious, deeply touching and with four terrific central performances, it's one of the best films of the 90s, period. via @filmhoundsmag filmhounds.co.uk/2026/01/city-s…

Doctor Who Series 7 Average Rating: 5.06 Fave Episode: The Angels Take Manhattan/The Name of the Doctor General thoughts: Sadly, this one felt like Moffat and Smith were throwing it in for various reasons but there are some great moments to be found regardless.

Sarah Jane Adventures Series 5 Average Rating: 5.66 Fave story: The Curse of Clyde Langer General thoughts: I have never been a huge fan of SJA but it has some great moments, and the way it ended is enough to make anyone emotional. Goodbye Sarah Jane Smith & goodbye Liz Sladen ❤️

Making a good Christmas film is no easy feat, as perfectly illustrated by one of the year's worst films, The Christmas Letter. A picture so devoid of heart that it could expel the Christmas spirit from Ebenezer Scrooge himself. via @filmhoundsmag filmhounds.co.uk/2025/12/the-ch…

This stuff never stops being cool for me. When I first started writing film reviews, I dreamed of having a review of mines on a DVD or a poster or to write for certain publications. Getting to achieve some of those dreams this year has been pretty damn cool!
