.@VP: "It's one of the big things that people don't understand about this administration. They think that... we hate Europe. We don't — we love Europe. Why do we want Europe to control its borders? Because we love European civilization. We want it to preserve itself."

English

@northumbrian_ @BWallArthur Nope. Breaks EU law.
Ireland is different because of the CTA going back a century. That’s one reason Ireland is not in Schengen.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur I am sorry. You are just wrong.
If the Netherlands decided to offer UK citizens the ability to come and live in their nation or study VISA free, they absolutely can do that. The EU has no say on what entry requirements they have. We have that relationship with Ireland.
English

@northumbrian_ @BWallArthur What do you mean by “offered FOM”. They could have said “any Briton can come and stay as long as they wish and work and study in our country”? That is what you mean. It is bollocks.
No. They added nothing. Britain left the EU and defaulted to the third-country rules.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur Thats not what I said. Stop moving the goal posts and just admit you are wrong. Any EU nation could have offered UK citizens FOM to their country after brexit. That is just a fact. They chose not to. They added the new requirements, not us.
English

@DuxVul @BWallArthur £300 is peanuts. Yes, about half of Britons cannot even show the necessary peanuts (or get medical insurance if they don't want to wait to retirement age) or they have relevant convictions.
And anyway they are too lazy, stupid and arrogant to learn Spanish: they shouldn't go.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur You say £300 is peanuts but then say have of Brits won’t meet the requirements
Those are the Brits who should stay in the UK, they are too poor to move with or without Brexit
English

@northumbrian_ @BWallArthur Visas and requirements are set nationally. But it it is not open to any EU country to simply say “any national of any third country can come to that EU country and live as an EU citizen would”. It would break EU law. And there is a reason no country does that or even tries to.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur That is just not accurate my friend. Entry requirements are set at a national level...not an EU level. Educate yourself before declaring others stupid.
English

"Zelenskyy... seems to hold no cards to play against Russia or his Western allies. The status quo in which he retains the position of a war leader serves him well, but it is increasingly becoming untenable."

@AJEnglish @leonidragozin Rogozin is a Kremlin asset. The worst it gets for ruzzia the more he says it is bad for Ukraine.
English

@DuxVul @BWallArthur Bollocks. Criminal record. Medical insurance. And half of Britons can’t meet all the requirements.
What the fuck is £300? Peanuts.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur And I’m saying it’s very easy
If you can’t fill in some forms and don’t have £300 a month you were not moving pre Brexit
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur Lol. You have lost the argument when all you have left is pointing out typos.
Again,we are not in the EU. We chose to leave. However, EU nations control their own entry requirements. They could have retained FOM if they wished to. They chose not to. They removed your FOM.
English

@DuxVul @BWallArthur Are you completely fucking stupid? I am the one saying that it is not easy to move to Spain for Britons now, even to retire.
My feelings? I meet the requirements to live anywhere. The Spanish requirements by a factor of fifty. My feelings are fine. 😀
English

@DuxVul @BWallArthur Now you are starting to understand it. But I was the one saying that for Britons now it is not about filling out a few forms. Anyway many have house sale proceeds
My point was that Brexit made moving harder for Britons.
You transported junk. I moved my stuff for £1500.
English

I’ll also do the income maths for you, because you are retarded
A couple needs €36k a year to qualify for an NLV, that’s £31k
£31k / 12 is £2.5k a month, £1.3k each
The full UK state pension pays £1k a month
You need to have a private pension of…… £300 a month each.
If you don’t have that, moving country is not for you
English

@DuxVul @BWallArthur Are you that stupid? If for an EU national, no private pension is needed. And the state one is enough. If from Britain then you need a passive income of about £2,200 per month. Or savings. Other requirements too.
You know nothing. Simply talking out of your arse.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur To retire in Spain you need a private pension that pays about £280 a month
If you don’t have that, you were not moving pre Brexit
Moving country is expensive
English

@MarkReckless Farage is corrupt. That £5,000,000 is a corrupt payment. How is Reform leader Nathan Gill enjoying his ten and a half year prison sentence for taking ruzzian bribes?
Vote Reform - get Putin.
English

@northumbrian_ @BWallArthur What the fuck is “ebmntrh”? Again, EU countries cannot prevent EU citizens living in those countries except on very limited national security grounds. The “rules” are EU rules. A child of six can understand this.
English

@MarkKirsh @BWallArthur That is irrelevant. I know you don't like the fact that it is EU nations who decide ebmntrh requirements to their country... but it is a fact..each nation decides its rules... they could decide there are no requirement if they want.
English

@ZackPolanski We hate you for your appeasement of fascist, genocidal ruzzia.
English

@i_r_b_r_m If I go to a shop and pay for a watch costing €200,000 and arrange to collect it the next day I have a right to that watch. Because of the contract. Because I paid. A right not a privilege, even though the watch is a luxury and not a necessity. You are exceptionally stupid.
English

@MarkKirsh Wrong.
The a privilege is something you can live without ie:-the ability to freely live anywhere in Europe.
A right is something you can’t live without ie:-food, water
It’s embarrassing how ignorant you are!
English

@northumbrian_ @BWallArthur Nope. Not for other EU citizens. They can only prevent people based on national security grounds/very serious crimes.
English

@johnredwood No. He’s doing a great job. Especially supporting Ukraine.
