🎬 "THE ONE THEY KEEP" I just got very carried away and created an entire short film completely with AI. Images, Research, Video, Sound Fx, Music, Script, the lot! BUT, It still took me 150 hours to make! In all seriousness, the film has a very important message that we should all start thinking about.

Is Bitcoin about to start the foundations of a parabolic run... Just like Gold has done? Well, right now, Bitcoin is looking strikingly similar to how Gold looked before it moved 300%. We have: - Two peaks - A drop below the 50EMA - A drop below the previous low - A consolidation below that low This is an expanded flat pattern, and Bitcoin is currently following to a tee. Gold consolidated within the deviation for 55 days, we are at 27 days. It is one of the most deceptive patterns, because the deviation below the previous low is a massive bear trap. It convinces everyone its weak, before trapping late shorts and then using them as fuel for running it up turbo. Expanded/running flats almost always correct very strongly, and just like with Gold, they push on to new highs very hard. This is an undeniable and strong resemblance, whilst the business cycle is lining up to support it. Gold moved 300%... added $26tn to its market cap. 300% for bitcoin is $200k from these levels... and that only needs $3tn to do it. And the best thing is that, regardless of all the bullish data, everyone thinks that this outcome is impossible. But I do not think so, at all.

Now not all SAAS apps will be as fast to convert, so there’s a fine line. If it’s complicated because you need multi level security and users logging in… it’s probably more cost effective to stay with the SAAS. If you’re newly vibe coded app needs lots of support and constant upgrades … it’s probably more cost effective to pay for a SAAS. Where this gets interesting? We are going to see lots more open sourced SAAS rivals that someone else has developed in AI. Then I don’t think any SAAS is safe.

I have a url shortening service that I pay for yearly. Next month it’s up for renewal. I have already decided I am going to build a replacement that I host on Cloudflare for virtually nothing. I estimate it will take me 3-5 hours including migrating my old links. This is the future we are living in…

We're at an inflection point. The internet is evolving from moving information to moving value. Blockchain, stablecoins, and AI aren't separate trends — they're converging into something much bigger: a reimagined global economic system, built natively on the internet. We are entering a world where, in my view, tens or even hundreds of billions of AI agents will interact and perform economic functions over the internet. They'll need programmable digital dollars and open infrastructure to do it. That's exactly what we've been building at Circle. Circle’s Q4 showed this isn't just a vision anymore — it's happening. USDC expansion continued, our share of stablecoin transaction volume approached 50%, and our broader platform expanded well beyond issuance into the infrastructure layer of onchain finance. Arc. CCTP. Circle Payments Network. StableFX. Each one a building block for what comes next. The opportunity ahead has never been greater. And we're just getting started. 4000 jobs gone to AI …
jack@jack

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack

I walk away from this summit convinced that much of the world, in the U.S. and abroad, is simply delusional with respect to what this technology is, what it can do today, what it will be able to do soon, and what it means their countries should do.

By 2030 I think the number of web sites on the Internet will drop a LOT. Why? Because the day of SEO is already dead. If people get no traffic there is no point paying for the hosting.. AI will have swallowed every fact from everything online. Think about what this means… 🪫 The recipe blog vanishes first. You want a spicy chili but you do not want the story about the author's grandma… The AI gives you the list of spices in a split second. The chef gets no clicks and no ad money so they eventually stop cooking for the public. 🪫 Product reviews become a relic. You will not read three different tech blogs to find a laptop. Your AI knows your budget and your habits better than you do. It just orders the one it likes. The journalists who actually tested the hardware go broke because the links are gone. 🪫 The niche hobbyist goes dark. A guy in Ohio spends thirty years restoring 1920s clocks and sharing the secrets online. When AI summarizes his life's work into a single chat response the community stops visiting his site. He loses his audience and shuts the server down forever. Think about the knock on effects…. We take for granted that we can check the receipts. If the original websites go bankrupt we are left with no way to verify a fact. We have to TRUST the AI memory because the library where the data lived has been burned for scrap metal. We take for granted that the internet is a place to find other people. In an AI world you are not exploring a planet of five billion humans. You are trapped in a room with a mirror. You get the perfect answer but you never stumble onto a life changing idea you did not ask for. We take for granted that the internet is constantly updating with new ideas. If humans stop building sites because there is no profit the AI starts eating its own tail. It learns from its own summaries until the truth is a distorted copy of a copy of a copy. We take for granted that the best info is free. When the ad model dies the only way to survive is to hide. Real investigative journalism will move behind massive paywalls that AI cannot scrape. The free web becomes a graveyard of AI trash while the truth becomes a luxury only the rich can afford. The web is shifting from a map of places you go to a single voice that tells you what to believe. Anyway, it’s Friday so go and have a beer or whatever you do to chill 😎

@MarkQJones Mind you, I'm starting to lean on the "don't care as long as AI can access it somehow, lets hide it all behind an MCP" side of things now, which kinda makes sense - black box everything!

Do you not think it all comes down to distribution power and marketing? For example, I could build an even better Microsoft word this weekend. I could give it free for life and I could also throw in the cure for cancer for good measure . If I did this… Could I cause any meaningful dent in Microsoft’s market share? Almost certainly …. No. My point is …. it almost doesn’t matter that we have a way to create powerful apps because we can’t tell enough people about them. So in the vast majority of cases the apps we create are never going to sell unless we have a relentless desire to market them. This part is boring, expensive and hard.

@Iantiktaktoe These type of posts are prolific on here. Humans are still very much needed in the dev process. Think I might do an article to show my typical life cycle.

We definitely need to make a distinction between Vibe Coding and AI Assisted Engineering! I’m where you’re at, I’ve had the same experience to the letter - yes my productivity has increased 100 fold but these posts are pure grift selling snake oil for clicks - I’m wondering if we looked behind the posters of these articles, what kind of experience they actually bring to the table to be able to claim such nonsense!

This statement below is so incorrect. I can code and have coded for 30 years. On 26th December 2025, I started building an app purely with AI code. AI has written every line. My App is not overly complicated, just a normal SAAS app. I've spent 7-day weeks / 11 hour days on it the whole time. It's still not finished. The gap between what AI gives you and what you need to get your first customer still takes a very LONG time. For every 2 days of vibe coding, I do 2 days of refactoring to get the code into some form or supportable, performant and secure foundation. "In 2026, you do not need to know how to code to build a software business. This is not an exaggeration. It is a structural shift in what is possible. The approach being used by people building profitable products right now is called vibe coding. You describe what you want in plain language. AI agents build it. You review, refine, redirect."

This will take off. Ai agents will talk to your website without a human ever seeing it. The human will never visit your website in most cases. So this will eventually remove the need for your web pages. What a changing world we live in.

We are rolling out more detection for automation & spam (and a lot more to come). If a human is not tapping on the screen, the account and all associated accounts will likely be suspended—even if you’re just experimenting. While we aim to support legitimate use-cases of agents, this will take some time to do properly. For now, we recommend holding off on plugging in your bots. If it’s critical, you can use the official API.
