@Ellhulto @MutantApeJack @NASA You missed the point. Its not the doctors who should reveal the illness its the astronaut himself. HIPAA does not prevent the astronaut from disclosing the episode. And @Ellhulto why not have a conversation without being rude, using vulgar expressions, etc

@MrPitbull07 @MrPitbull07 I wasn't going to post but read some comments. So, I want to say I agree with you. To make matters worse, the dare Devils will expect others to risk their safety to save them.

To the parents of the two kids walking out on that rock bridge hundreds of feet in the air — I already called the park ranger. We were on a peaceful hike, enjoying the view, and then I look up and see two kids casually walking across a narrow slab of rock like it’s a playground balance beam. No harness. No supervision right next to them. Just open air on both sides. One slip. One loose pebble. One gust of wind. That’s not a scraped knee. That’s a fatal fall. And before anyone says “kids will be kids” — no. Not when it’s a rock bridge suspended high enough that a fall would end in a body recovery, not a rescue. People were literally frozen watching them, too scared to even yell in case it startled them. Absolutely unreal parenting. You don’t get to gamble with gravity because you want a cool photo. So yes, I reported it. Because I would rather be the “dramatic hiker” than the person who stood there silently while two kids risked their lives for a thrill. Credit: Mark

A lot of you have been asking where I’ve been and well…I’ve been working hard at my parish since it’s my first time being administrator. Let me tell you - I freakin love it. It’s a blessing to be the administrator at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC!

@frpatrickop Father Hyde, I'm 65 y.o. and still get nervous when preparing for confession. But I go to this sacrement. I can't relate to confession being cool.

If my nephew thought his first Confession was cool, imagine how you will feel after your next confession. God’s mercy is such a gift. I pray you take the time to make a good Confession this Lent.
Fr. Patrick Hyde, OP@frpatrickop

One of my nephews had a follow up question after his 1st confession so his dad, my older brother, told him, “We know just the guy to ask.” When we talked about his experience, he said it was “cool” which is the best way a 7-year-old can describe anything. My heart is full.

@theatomicmom @DoctorLemma @theatomicmom Sure, let's drop an atomic bomb on public broadcasting! Great idea! We can put preschoolers in the hands of Donald the child molester. Kids need to learn how to defend themselves at some point in their life!

@DoctorLemma Public Broadcasting was created in the late 1960s to give rural & under served areas choices. In the age of the internet, Public Broadcasting is no longer needed. There are a myriad of choices, which are easy to access. PBS, NPR should have to be competitive.

On May 1, 1969, a soft spoken television host from Pittsburgh in the United States walked into a Senate hearing room to stop the government from cutting public broadcasting funding in half. Fred Rogers had no lobbyists, no political connections. He had a children’s show with a $6,000 budget, which he pointed out was less than what networks spent on two minutes of cartoons. The senator chairing the hearing, John Pastore, had never seen the show and was visibly impatient when Rogers sat down. Rogers didn’t argue policy. He didn’t read his prepared statement. He just talked about children, about what they feel and what they need, about how his show teaches kids that feelings are mentionable and manageable. Then he recited the lyrics to a song he’d written: “What do you do with the mad that you feel?” Six minutes. That’s all it took. Pastore, who’d described himself as “a pretty tough guy,” told Rogers it was the first time he’d had goosebumps in two days. Then he said: “Looks like you just earned the 20 million dollars.” Federal funding for public broadcasting went from $9 million to $22 million.

When she was in government, Angela Rayner gave the go-ahead for the Marks and Spencer Art Deco building on Oxford Street, London to be demolished & turned into a characterless rebuild. Elegant buildings like this should be adapted, not destroyed. We are aesthetically regressing.

My Mum is 89. A few weeks before Christmas, her elderly dog died, and she was heartbroken. She’d decided not to get another dog because she didn’t think it would be fair to a dog, as she is disabled and doesn’t think she’ll live long enough to outlive it. However, a dog rescuer who had rehomed dogs with her in the past knew her old dog had died, and when a little 12-year-old dog came in whose elderly owner had died, she phoned Mum and asked if she’d be interested. By then, she was feeling very lonely without a constant companion, so she said she’d give it a go and see how it went. As you can see by the photo, they got on very well and are blissfully happy. Both of them have got a new lease of life and adore each other. Credit to the respective owner ✍️

Folks, it is quite possible that Lindsey Graham is not all right. And no, we are not talking about his obsessive fluffery or his penchant for cable ranting. I regret to say that he has taken his not-wellness to the global stage. Consider this report, from the Danish newspaper, Berlingske [Translated to English]. open.substack.com/pub/charliesyk…
