I agree that it’s not on the same scale as car deaths but it’s like saying 20 people were killed by a bowing ball but only 1 by a sewing needle. The comparison is invalid

What registration mark does their bike carry to prosecute them for speeding, running a red light...? What insurance do they hold for when they smash into the back of someone when they are in full ‘tour de France’ mode ?

Tell you what, you cycle your bike into a wall at 20mph and I will drive my car into said wall at said speed and let’s see who comes off better, p.s remember not to wear your helmet because they are not needed (apparently)

@Neilythere74 @Scoops8519931 @louarchibald97 Because cyclists don’t seem to get prosecuted for any of the above where as drivers do... hence my original point. If cyclists were treated the same as motorists we wouldn’t have the issues we face on a daily basis

@Neilythere74 @Scoops8519931 @louarchibald97 A completely invalid one at that... if cars didn’t drive in the middle of the road... we have to because ‘cyclists need 24 feet of room’ just incase you decide that you want to reach into your saddle bag and grab a cucumber water

@louarchibald97 Pulling out at junctions, going through red lights, cycling in the middle of the road, not signalling when they wish to turn, I guarantee you if these offences were prosecuted by the police there would be less injuries.

@louarchibald97 Cyclists think they have some sort of magic power when they are on the road, don’t get me wrong, 75% of cyclists actually know how to use the road, it’s the other lot that are a pain in the arse.
