Lets not forget that this meeting was called only two days before today, and councillors werent even supplied with the reports in question until 11am today, while the meeting started at 10.

The undebiable truth is that Johann Mettler is suspended and Gareth Mnisi is returning to work with just a warning tomorrow, because DA Councillors chose to submits leaves of absence for today's council meeting after campaigning of these issues for weeks.

Johann Mettler blocked their tenders. He refused to let corrupt officials walk free. He stood between Tshwane and those who wanted to loot it. Today in a special council sitting they are trying to fire him for it. One of those tenders would have handed a company called Smada a 50 year lease on the Pretoria Show Grounds. Smada has been linked to the EFF and Julius Malema at the Madlanga Commission. 👀 This is not about misconduct. This is about removing the man standing in the way. ⚖️

In South Africa, there are also strict laws that mandate discriminatory hiring practices based on race.
A new law called the Employment Equity Amendment Act sets the hiring targets for 2025–2030 across 18 economic sectors.
Some workforce targets aim for 90–96% of employees to come from designated groups, which include Black people, women, and people with disabilities (minimum 3%).
That means that if a company has more than 5% White men, it could face penalties of up to 10% of its income.
