Just throwing this one out there as I was asked this question earlier today.
A couple both working with a combined income of £50,000 would pay £11,500 a year in income tax and national insurance,
Another couple receiving £50,000 in benefits including Universal Credit, Personal Independent Payment, Housing Benefit, Income Support and Child Benefit would pay no income tax or national insurance, keeping the full £50,000.
Should the non-working couple on £50,000 a year pay the same amount of income tax and national insurance as the working couple?

There is probably no bigger crime against humanity than the destruction of the United Kingdom.
England in the 90s, where I grew up, was actual paradise.
The pub gardens, the white people, oasis with fish and chips.
There were full bars and clubs 7 nights a week in every single town let alone city.
Always something to do. Even if you were poor, go out with a tenner and have the best time.
10,000 pound night today is 1% of what a 10-pound night was back then.
Neighborly people.
Safe streets. Even the council estates were safe.
You had to live it to understand it.
Everything’s been destroyed.

Kate Garraway’s morning TV career may be over after she made some truly disgraceful comments about the St George’s flag.
While interviewing Reform UK’s Zia Yusuf on whether the Union flag should be displayed in schools, she angrily declared it had been “hijacked by the far right”.
Should Kate bs sacked ?

Hats off to the @Telegraph for exposing Labour’s Attorney General for who he really is.
Lord Hermer pursued a witch hunt against decorated British Armed Forces personnel despite being told the allegations were false.
It is utterly treacherous for the Government’s chief lawyer to persecute loyal servicemen who risked their lives for this country.

BORIS JOHNSON: For his vomit-inducing persecution of innocent British troops, Hermer should join Starmer in being kicked out of the most unpatriotic government in our island's history trib.al/wy4VuXY

This hero received his Military Cross from the Queen herself for bravery in Iraq.
Then Starmer’s mate Lord Hermer dragged him and other veterans through years of hell with false accusations, despite knowing the claims were lies.
Disgraceful. 🤬
Our soldiers fight for this country and get betrayed by the very people now running it.
Hermer has no place as Attorney General. He should resign in shame.
We will NOT forget this witch hunt against our veterans.
Stand with our heroes. 🇬🇧🫡

If she wins her seat, she will be on an £80,000 salary, not working 9 to 5 for her constituents.
Can't wait for the celebratory TikTok dance videos though...

To all those hug a refugee, Care 4 Calais do gooders - you’ve helped enable this, this monstrous scum is what is coming into our country and committing heinous crimes. When is enough enough? How many more victims does it take till the penny finally drops? Or is it ok as long as it’s not your daughter!
