This Thursday 7th May, people in Halton and across the country have the chance to make history. For decades, towns like Runcorn have been taken for granted. How wonderful to have the brilliant @SarahForRuncorn Pochin MP out campaigning with us in Monmouth yesterday evening. As a Cheshire MP, I pay tribute to @cheshirepolice and the other forces involved in this morning’s raids in Crewe involving the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light. This is an active investigation into extremely serious allegations, including sexual offences, forced marriage and modern slavery. The police must be allowed to do their work, and anyone with information should come forward.

If you have nothing to hide, @Keir_Starmer, why not give your MPs a free vote?

This Government can barely hide its disdain for our Armed Forces.

Today is decision day for every Labour MP. Put country before party and vote to investigate whether the Prime Minister lied to Parliament. If he did nothing wrong, he has nothing to fear. Sweep it under the carpet, and in 9 days’ time Labour MPs answer to the British people.

Tomorrow, MPs will vote on whether Keir Starmer should face scrutiny for lying to the House of Commons. Reform MPs will vote to hold him to account. If you live in a Labour constituency, email your MP today and tell them this must not be swept under the carpet.

Halton Borough Council is already £250 million in debt. Yet they are planning to spend what could be more than £100,000 going to the High Court to overturn the Heath Park Project planning decision, after it was rejected on public health grounds. This is likely to fail. Taxpayers should not be forced to foot the bill for yet another reckless decision by this failing Labour council.

This morning, I joined motorists from across the UK in Central London to demand action on fuel prices. Drivers are being hammered at the pump while Rachel Reeves rakes in the tax. @reformparty_uk would cut fuel duty and end Labour’s war on motorists.
