@AlbertDomingo My household likely became infected with KP.2. or KP.3 which is dominant where I live. For the record let me state that while symptoms were manageable they were not mild for any of us. Nor for others we know who have just become ill.

Whether or not sequencing shows variants flagged by global health agencies, the DOH assumes the flagged Omicron subvariants (i.e. KP.2, KP.3) are already likely here, and notes that cases continue to be clinically mild and manageable. philstar.com/headlines/2024…

Singapore is seeing a major surge in the Covid cases mainly driven by these FLiRT variants- KP.2 & KP.2. Many other western countries are witnessing an upsurge in cases driven by these variants. 4/

Well, this is interesting. It seems there are even more COVID variants floating around this year. As I’m not an epidemiologist I could be wrong but reading about FLiRT / KP.2 / etc. thinking this is why it was so easy to catch one. And maybe strep? TG for urgent care.
