@davros888 Hi, 'The Enterprise' 45 Culmore rd SE15. Also used in ep out of darkness, then 'Carlton Tavern'. Now converted into flats.

The Lymon character preferred not to own cars ;) This time a suitable motor to borrow was Capri, which he found on Burney Street , SE10 (Greenwich). Episode #20 ' THE BOGEYMAN '. (ps. Nick Brimble turned 80 a couple of months ago, congrats !)

HBD Michael Brandon 🍻 40 years ago it all started and this was one of the very first scenes together ❤️ Filmed in the riverside part of the Mayflower Pub SE16. From the 2nd episode "THE SQUEEZE" which indeed was filmed first. ("now" pic taken in 2018)

@MrMBrandon I have watched F1 longer than Dempsey & Makepeace .. and this sure is one of the strangest penalties. Not fair.

Vegas baby! Ferrari pulled up a sewer cap and caused a million bucks worth of damage to the car and cost Ferrari ten places. Not fair. Then they shut down the track for five hours to seal the other 140 other sewer covers. Not the drivers fault. 👎

@Marcus_The_Man Thank you. That area sounds unfamiliar to me, they usually did not film in such northern locations. Please share a screenshot if you find the ep + location you referred to.

@Mark_OB_ Very interesting looking at the D&M filming locations then and now. You deserve praise, you did a lot of work there! I recall a villain lived in a block on Hilgrove Rd, Swiss Cottage, where the road descends almost opposite the Odeon Cinema. Not such which episode.

Greenwich Peninsula, part 7 20th episode "THE BOGEYMAN": The very brilliant car stunt where Lymon's red Pontiac jumps from the ramp and rolls spectacularly was shot near the two East Greenwich's gasholders of which in 2018 ("now"pic) was one left, now both gutted :(

Greenwich Peninsula, part five. The opening scenes from the 21st episode "THE BURNING PART 1" were filmed towards south approximately from where O2 is. The "now" picture I took from the cable car in 2018. A lot has been built since then.

@tommytuck39 Such a nice detail, thank you ! When visiting this location in 2017, I namely remember checking online the scene once again to be sure it is the right place for the ex-tunnel. No cuts, camera rolling, so it had to be it.

@Mark_OB_ @DempMake I used to walk through that tunnel a lot when I was a kid, then they rerouted the public footpath along the river front.

Greenwich peninsula, part four: Location: Morden Wharf Road SE10. From the 18th episode THE HIT. "Shall we close the gap, Harry ..."

Greenwich peninsula, The Pilot pub, River Way SE10. The last remaining true landmark in the area left from the old filming days. "Then" image is from the 21st episode THE BURNING PART 1. The geezer (Andy Bradford) on the right we saw also in The Squeeze.

Greenwich peninsula, part three: Location: Reminder Lane / Olympian Way SE10. 26th episode BIRD OF PREY

Still on the Greenwich Peninsula.. same location as my previous post but now to opposite direction. This one is picked from the 26th ep BIRD OF PRAY. (River Way SE10)

On the Greenwich peninsula, where they did quite a lot filming, aren't many landmarks left. Buildings have gone and the road systems have changed radically. From the 21st ep THE BURNING PART 1: Makepeaces XR3i heading west from the corner of The Pilot pub, River Way SE10

Arguing whose right of way it was... on location 2, Champion Hill SE5 from S3E2 The Burning part II. At the same adress there was "Ristorante Fiori" where Makepeace threw pasta on a crook in S2E5 Tequila Sunrise. "Now" pics from year 2018.
