@johnmilbank3 I agree, in the literal sense, and when Scripture speaks of God's plans, it's like when it speaks of God's arm or smell. The overuse of God's "plans" makes me wonder whether people understand this.

It is idolatry to imagine that God has any ‘plans’. His thinking is simply his doing and his agency is indissociable from his spontaneous, eternal, simple and single (though multiple) act.

@kayaburgess What's more jaw-dropping is that the survey results were not questioned by YouGov or the Bible Society from the start, when to anyone with O level maths and some awareness of church attendance they were clearly flawed.

BREAKING (and pretty jaw-dropping) NEWS: The "Quiet Revival" report which prompted huge excitement among churches over Gen Z flocking to church... Bible Society has now said the survey was "flawed". YouGov said many respondents were "fraudulent" They're withdrawing the report:

We were once told the Bible is very clear, slavery is legitimate, leadership is male, divorce equals exclusion, the earth is only 6,000 years old etc. Now those immature & abusive readings of the Bible’s texts have been dumped. So why do some still use it to exclude LGBT+ people?
