I didn’t write my #BreakFree book as a “how-to”. It’s more like… “What it actually feels like when things go wrong, and you’re trying to fix it.” Yesterday was a reminder of that. Deep breath.

Funny how real-life stress ends up shaping what you write. A lot of my stories come from moments like this, when things don’t go to plan. Anyway… Chapter 14 isn’t going to write itself.

Real life: throws unexpected £500 bills at you. Writer brain: “…that’s actually a decent plot point.” Might be time to channel yesterday into the next chapter. It actually fits in perfectly with the character that I am writing about right now. He's called James...

Right, enough of yesterday. New day. Fresh page. Chapter 14 is the real challenge now. (Although knowing me, I’ll rewrite it 3 times before I’m happy…)

Yesterday was a bit of a reality check. Massive car bill. Not ideal. But I’m not a finance expert, I’m a writer. So... time to do what I actually signed up for: Back to Chapter 14 of my current WIP!
