The success of low voter turnout on all proposals led to this inevitability. The rugs were pulled from under us whilst we sleepwalked into this inevitability.

@MarkatCIFF @StephenJAdams Am I missing something, doesn't the number of signatures relate to the threshold for forcing an EGM, rather than a vote? Given there's an AGM scheduled next month I'm not sure an EGM is necessary

@daysofspeed @ArryHarrison It's like politics, right? I don't get what the Tories are doing but there are tons who do. There have been many many questionable decisions made, in my view, by the DTB in recent years. No way can Twitter offer me the characters to reply. Suffice to say I would like this debate

@ArryHarrison @MarkatCIFF I think the new structure is the best we have (potentially) looked since 2002. The theme groups should make timely info, involvement & challenge much more likely and vital. This appears to be 12 months too late and wildly misses the proposal benefits. I just don’t get it.

@Timothy_Green Hi Timothy, Thanks for the feedback. There are multiple issues - but the most important being that the change in structure is being developed by the DTB (from what I read and understand) and the DT cannot put a point of order in without 350 signatures?

@justadon88 @MarkatCIFF yep and thats the way this should have been addressed. Not in this big fanfare all over social medial for a VONC which will cause splits and arguments but not even get off the ground. Put in a resolution and be sensible.

@lukeyboymac With such a rigmarole to get a topic brought, is it no wonder that there is lack of communication back from the DT to the DTB?

@lukeyboymac Luke - I have been in contact with the secretary of the DT and he's been a great help. But the system is built to make it nigh on impossible to bring anything (I know my VONC is an extreme here) to the table for discussion. You need 350 signatures. All verified by the Secretary.

@StephenJAdams Oh and aside: If YOU weren't happy about something, you would also voice your concerns, no? And to do so you'll need 350 signatures by people to all individually email the club secretary and for the sec to count and verify every one. Quite the rigmarole just to have a voice, no?

@StephenJAdams Between now and then, Stephen, is a very long road. It all depends entirely on who is on the board at that point. Fact is: I'm using my right to call a VONC. I don't expect everyone to agree, though. That's their right. But the new governance strategy is concerning me.

@MarkatCIFF I guess everyone has their views but I’ve been to every home game this season and enjoyed every minute of it! Good facilities, short queues for good food and drink, able to congregate with friends around the ground, well stocked club shop.. Doesn’t look like much is wrong to me..
