I thought the opposite actually. With the R2D essentially wrapped and a two-horse race for the event title, I thought the majority of the conversation on Sunday was around the Tour cards, the scenarios, the pressure, the opportunity etc. That being said, I thought it added to the broadcast and was clearly a big narrative for players throughout the week and especially on Sunday.

Scandalous, that as was just highlighted, the next Ashes in England doesn't feature a Test north of Trent Bridge. The north is the true heartland of English cricket - as this team shows. Imagine this team with no-one from north of the Trent in it? Would struggle to beat Ireland.
