🇺🇸U.S. corn, soybean and wheat ending stocks in 2026/27 are all set to decline from the prior year. Wheat stocks came in well below expectations because of a shockingly small winter wheat crop.

2/2 The #soybean crop in 2026/27 is projected at 4.435 billion bushels, up 173 million from last year’s crop, reflecting trend #yield and higher harvested area. Along with higher beginning stocks, supplies are 188 million bushels above the 2025/26 marketing year.

2/2 The #corn crop is projected at 16 billion bushels, down 6% from a year ago on declines to both area and yield. Planted area of 95.3 million acres, if realized, would be down 3.5 million. The yield projection is 183.

All trade estimates for USDA's reports due at 11am CDT on Tuesday, the unveiling of 2026/27 outlooks. The struggling U.S. wheat crop will be in focus as will global wheat harvests after last year's strong showing. Keep eyes on U.S. corn & soy demand and Argentina corn, as well.
