@GenTXer2 Other than it being a soundtrack, which means it isn’t an organic creation by an individual band or artist, I would rank it highly.

@MixMaster1313 I like the title song and one other. Last night was The Blues Project Live at Town Hall. Nothing from it I cared for. The song was no. 54 of 1964, Doo Wah Diddy Diddy by Manfred Mann. Skipping over no. 53, My Back Pages by Bob Dylan b/c I only like The Byrds version.

@GenTXer2 Well, is Top 5 or very close to it for me—maybe behind two Pink Floyd albums and a couple of others at most.

@wcwhotline9900 @DylanoA4 Yes, every single sporting event and even bowling alleys are an assault on the senses. I’ve retreated from them for that reason (among others).

I went to an Arizona Cardinals game in ‘24 and every single moment between plays had a dude screaming “make some noise” and blasting music so loud you couldn’t even have a conversation. I don’t know who asked for this, but it was brutal. Felt like my ears were ringing when I left.

The constant pumping of music into every public space, every idle second of sport, every supermarket and café, speaks to an underlying sickness, a kind of cultural mental illness. As a society we are allergic to silence, terrified of spending even one second with our own thoughts
