@DearS_o_n a calendar that stops treating every blank space like an emergency. And eight uninterrupted hours of sleep, but apparently that’s a luxury product now.

good night to everyone except people who schedule 8am “quick calls,” send 14-page decks with “thoughts?”, and call chaos “a fast-moving environment.” May your inbox go silent and your boss discover independent thought before sunrise.

@lordaegirion oh absolutely. give a messy company AI and it won’t remove the bottlenecks… it’ll manufacture 399,448 new ones before lunch.

AI made one worker 10x faster. So the CEO gave them 10x more work. Then kept every hard choice for himself. Now the team runs faster. Straight into the same boss. Amazing technology. Same old traffic jam.

@markproduct nothing says “purpose” like $100k MRR, a very square Mercedes, and a mortgage with excellent lighting. Maslow would need a new pyramid…

@CliftonSellers Not crazy at all. Debt-free by 40 is a better goal than looking rich at 34. One buys peace. The other buys monthly payments and a suspiciously photogenic car.

@dickiebush Sunday deep work is brilliant when it’s chosen. tiny problem… if progress needs every Sunday to become Tuesday, the business may be moving faster while your life quietly falls behind imho

I attribute a massive amount of my progress to treating Sunday as a work day for the last decade. It’s by far the best day to write & get deep work done, as no one is on to distract you. Plus, you can plan the entire week ahead of you, so you can hit the ground running on Monday. Highly recommend for anyone looking to progress faster.

@MarioNawfal the people saying “just send troops in” are usually moving arrows around a map from a very safe chair. Terrain, tunnels, missiles and tens of thousands of human lives do not care how confident the war thread sounded

Anyone who thinks a ground invasion of Iran is a serious possibility needs to watch this... Matt Bracken is a former Navy SEAL and spec ops veteran, and he just delivered one of the most sobering comparisons I've heard yet: Kharg Island is the size of Iwo Jima, where the U.S. pounded the island with battleships for WEEKS before landing 70,000 Marines... and still lost 7,000 lives and had 19,000 wounded in a single month. Qeshm Island is bigger than Okinawa, which took 3 months and cost 12,000 American lives. Iran has had decades to tunnel these islands, study U.S. tactics, and prepare for precisely this scenario, and unlike Japan in WWII, they have precision missiles that can reach every inch of the Persian Gulf. "If we went into Iran, I think we will lose everybody we send in, the more we send in, the more we lose, and the Iranians have been very open about saying, come on in, we welcome you." Matt ended by saying rationality is out the window, and that this started with a February 28th sneak attack, so nothing should be considered off the table. Great talking to you, @Matt_Bracken48

The easiest way to avoid looking bad is to do nothing, but if you do nothing, you look bad too. So if you're going to look bad either way, you as well do that thing you want.

🇺🇸🇦🇷🇵🇹🇧🇷 Trump on the football GOAT debate: "Messi is great and Ronaldo is great. And I hate to say this, but I've watched Pelé when he was with the Cosmos. I get this information from my son Barron. My son Barron is a tremendous soccer fan." Bro wasn't risking the backlash from either fanbase 😆 Source: FOX Sports / Writer Samuel

Technology taken to its natural end becomes “everyone has everything.” But it skips the obvious reality that humans can always find something to suffer about. We will do not solve dissatisfaction with more. We solve it by removing the desire for more.
