@Tradermayne No loser. Tax evasion is a crime by definition. Moving overseas and losing your tax residency in Australia and not having to pay taxes to ATO anymore is perfectly legal. Not to mention capital gains shouldn't be taxed anyway, like at all, just like gambling and lotteries.

@StayFxithful @Tradermayne Wrong. When you move overseas, presumably on a permanent basis, the day you leave triggers a CGT or CGL event on all your assets except TAP - Taxable Australian Properties which is mainly real estate in Australia. Even shares on the ASX are not TAP let alone Cryptos.

@QDagelet @Tradermayne No. You don't understand that when an Australian moves to another country and lives overseas for more than six months in a financial year, they will no longer need to even lodge a tax return in Australia unless they have money making assets in Australia such as a rental.

The 50% CGT discount should only be removed for established residential properties. Anything more than that will be an attack on first home buyers and renters. If you still don't get it, once you're priced out of buying and renting, even more than now, you will finally get it.

If you sell an asset where it's deflating ~$100,000 a day because an asset that is inflating ~$35,000,000 a day is selling off, so you can buy back ~20% more lower, you deserve to get ripped off when you miss the +300% move of $CAKE in less than a week. #PancakeSwap

This is how retarded the Australian government is in three points. 1. Gambling winnings are tax free. Almost no other money is. Gambling is encouraged but investing is not. 2. Housing crisis but foreigners are still allowed to buy our houses and they just incentivised never ever selling investment properties 3. Young people can't afford houses so let's tax them more if they make money in crypto or shares. That's just the tip of the retarded iceberg
