The tragic tale of Habibi & the TSA  We arrive at security and I get randomly groped by a TSA agent, off to a strong start. Then we spend an hour looking for a lounge only to find the food sucks and I'm starving. But it’s whatever, we got a flight. Once we find our seats on the flight a lady asks me to swap so she can sit next to her boyfriend, I accept and we switch. I'm immediately aware of why she moved. I’m surrounded by crying babies. Someone else asks me to swap seats so he can sit next to his friend; again I accept and move into the seat behind him. Turns out the person next to me is sick and coughing all flight long, plus I can still hear the crying baby. Then the guy I switched with has the audacity to recline his seat all the way and start passing gas the whole flight. Needless to say I’m cooked, bored and can’t sleep. So I take matters into my own hands knowing there's only one way to turn my frown upside down... gambl… I mean, opening a case of Fabled. I proceed to open a case of Fabled on a plane, probably the first person ever. I go full degen and just check the last three cards, keep it wrapped, and put it back in the box. In theory I should be pulling a couple of legendary cards and two epics per box? Not a chance, out of an entire case I pull three epics and eight legendaries total. Just when I was thinking the day couldn't get any worse I leave my Fabled case behind under my seat. So I go to the lost and found, but remember how I changed seats a couple times, I'd forgotten my seat number. After a couple of hours I convince em the case is mine, finally getting it back. It’s wrapped in a special plastic bag, so the agent gets all suspicious "what's in the bag? "and I’m like, it's the cards I left on the plane. Then he tells me I need to claim the cards. Seriously, with my luck it's worth 80 bucks after I opened it… leave me alone. He laughs at me and tells me to claim it next time. The whole fiasco makes me miss my ride home and I'm forced to Uber, sick, tired and in financial shambles. Needless to say this flight went better than normal! It's too quiet today. Might be time to get the region wars going again. Freindly reminder that Atlanta has won a quarter of this seasons DLCs and the season isnt over yet.

@coflorcana I think the problem is less jerseys and more the attitude players are bringing into the stores. If they are not creating a welcoming enviroment it will drive other people away.

@coflorcana When I was starting out, it was the desire to beat the competitive players that drove me to better my myself. If I wasn't willing to play against good players I would have never become the player I am today.

Now that set champs season is over, I think it’s time for a discussion. We had an incident in our local community where casual players showed up to a set champs, and as soon as they saw the players with the jerseys walk in to compete, they all left. On a certain level I get it. Who wants to pay money to be fodder for players who practice more and take the game more seriously? And for the record, I’m not saying the jerseys did anything wrong here. But there is this imbalance in Lorcana organized play. On the one hand, RB markets this as a casual friendly game. So casual players pick up the game thinking that this is the one for them. They go to local leagues, planning on having fun. Then it’s week after week of being beat by the jerseys. Which eventually leads them to stop playing all together (who else has seen their local scenes drying up?), or if they’re lucky, to find a store that caters to casual players. Set champs then creates a dynamic where those casual players can’t escape the jerseys. It’s the one time that there is actually something worth playing for locally. I don’t know how your set champs went but attendance at ours is definitely less than they used to be. So we are in this cycle where casual players aren’t having fun and not coming out anymore, but the prize support isn’t compelling enough to attract jersey players from other games, which leads to shrinking local scenes. And I know that the game is doing just fine with collectors. The game is making money off of their wallets. It’s the health of the local organized play scene that I want to chat about. But honestly, I don’t know how to fix it (or maybe this is just me and it doesn’t need fixing at all)

@BradenMTG @MakaveliHS88 His point is Josh has 1 foiled Willow on board and 1 non-foil Willow on board. What competitive advantage is there to only foiling a few copies of a card. If anything it indicates there is no pattern.
