It always surprises me that my employees don’t want to get overtime. I understand being burnt out at 40hrs but getting paid time and a half would be hard to pass up.

@RudeOnion Voting , owning a firearm are both constitutional rights. Drinking falls under being a privilege, so it can be regulated legally. Of course that doesn’t mean voting and owning a firearm arm can’t be regulated illegally.

They should. Either 18 is the age of legal adulthood or it isn't. 18 year olds should be able to drink, too. They can be sent to war - they can have a damn beer.

@Hot_Pepper76 I have deer troubles too. If you put 2 tablespoons of crushed hot pepper and 3 crushed cloves of garlic in a quart jar and fill it up with water , set in the sun for a day. Spray it on the plants you want to keep the deer off , every couple days.

I've had deer eat my gorgeous flowers, never my hostas. I Do Not Like Deer.

@deltaozzimo The simple answer is that driving is a privilege, voting is a constitutional right. They apparently have done a dismal job of teaching government in high school over the last couple decades. And it really shows!

They can take away your drivers license if you have dementia or are just too old to drive because you’re a danger to everybody else. Can you explain to me why they don’t take away your right to vote too???

If my calculations are correct, we've got 7.2 years until the Earth is destroyed by climate change. The world will end on August 30th, 2033. Absolutely sobering.
