SARAH GERONIMO DECRIES CORRUPTION DURING UAAP SEASON 88 OPENING PERFORMANCE Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo used her stage at the UAAP Season 88 opening ceremony at the University of Santo Tomas on Friday to speak out against corruption in the country. Before performing the chorus of her 2013 hit single "Ikot-Ikot," Geronimo drew a parallel between the song and the nation's current struggles, particularly amid investigations into anomalous flood control projects in government. "Kay rami ng sakit na nilimot, napabayaan.'Di maiwasang isipin na tayo'y para bang— Parang panloloko sa bansa natin. Pinaikot-ikot lang tayo. Tama na!" she said to loud cheers from the audience.
