Networking tip that took me years to learn:
Don’t try to meet everyone in the room.
Find 3 or 4 good conversations instead.
Those conversations usually lead to:
• introductions
• follow-up coffees
• referrals
• future opportunities

Usually it’s not the networking that’s the problem.
It’s things like:
• going to the wrong events
• not following up properly
• not having a clear message
• expecting instant results
