Yesterday our members were fascinated by Dame Joanna Lumley’s address at the AGM.
She entertained us with splendid stories of places of worship, from the King’s coronation to her own childhood in the Weald.

@MatthewCroxford @fotofacade @MarshChurches A lost village at Fairfield is local folklore, as no evidence of a larger settlement has ever been found. Church was made of expendable materials, so may have just served the local farms and scattered houses. Before the causeway it could only be reached by boat in winter floods!
